Introduction
|
Trifloxysulfuron is a sulfonylurea herbicide that can be absorbed by the roots, stems, and leaves of weeds after application. It can be transmitted downwards and upwards in plants by inhibiting the activity of acetyl lactate synthase (ALS), thereby affecting the biosynthesis of branched chain amino acids such as leucine, isoleucine, valine, etc. After being damaged, plants exhibit necrosis of growth points, loss of green veins, severe inhibition of plant growth, dwarfism, and ultimately complete death of the entire plant. The selectivity of triflururon towards weeds and crops is mainly due to differences in degradation metabolism. It can be rapidly metabolized into inactive substances in cotton and sugarcane, thereby protecting crop plants from damage. | |||
